We made a holiday “bucket list” for these winter holidays so that we could think about what we wanted to do, let everyone have a chance to add an activity (or five!) and then see what the weather would allow and which friends could join in when!
Recently a friend told me about a real bucket list for kids! A list of things for your child to have done by the time he reaches 11 and three-quarter years old. Of course, I thought that was a great idea as I’m always looking for fun activities to do with my boys, and if there’s a “real” list then I should probably at least take a look at it! There are some old favourites on the list (build a den, fly a kite and hunt for bugs), some that require some planning (throw some snow, get behind a waterfall and cook on a campfire) and some that happen daily (at least at our house!) like climb a tree. We have been inspired to try and tick off as many of these activities over the next few years as we can, although some may have to wait until our boys are a little bigger (and Mom is a little less of a sissy!), because abseiling seems a bit daunting right now!!!
Here is the list….let the fun begin!
